Study Shows New Benefits of Ibuprofen and Aspirin

When a headache or any kind of ache strikes, I usually reach for an ibuprofen. Little did I realize taking one of those little pills would also help if I've altitude sickness. The info is coming out of new research that says the only other treatments currently available are through prescriptions.

And in a report of another new study researchers found that taking an aspirin daily may cut your risk of development certain cancers and prevent the spread of tumors. Even though aspirin has been known to cause stomach bleeding, the cancer-fighting aspect may outweigh the risks. In this day of high-cost medicines, it's nice to know they've found new, life-saving benefits in over-the-counter medications.
