One of the annual events that take place at Texas Tech University is the Arbor Day celebration and this year is no different. It's planned for Friday at Memorial Circle on campus starting at 11 a.m. with free food, live music and of course in the early afternoon, the tree-planting in honor of Arbor Day.

I think it's safe to say that Sara Evans is back in the saddle, remarrying and reintroducing herself to her country music audience. Her other creative outlet is writing--books that is. She has become a fiction writer and released her third book in January.

Tuesday night on "Late Night with Fallon" they scored a coup with Pres. Obama as their guest and even doing a funny slow-jam segment that switched back and forth between goofy and serious. The President, seeking to be re-elected is looking for the younger vote which Fallon's show targets.

By this time you've probably heard entertainment mogul extraordinaire Dick Clark died last Wednesday at the age of 80 of a heart attack. But the last few decades we all cheered as the ball dropped on his "New Year's Eve Celebration in Times Square".

I'm always intrigued when a new storyline is used that truly is a "new" one. And Mark Wahlberg is planning to venture into one seems to have that quality. He's in talks to star in "Avon Man".

Lee Brice's career is charging up the hill and this week he's received an honor from a beer mega-manufacturer. Brice has been added to the latest list of country artists endorsed by Anheuser-Busch.

Even though 88% of people are wearing seat belts when riding in a vehicle, there are some groups who are more prone to not doing so. This site shows young adults are more inclined to not wear their seatbelt.

Filming began last week on a new movie starring Sir Anthony Hopkins. It's called "Hitchcock" and about the love story of the famous director Alfred Hitchcock, and his wife Alma, played by Dame Helen Mirren.

Chalk up a winner for Celebrity Attractions this weekend. "Shrek the Musical" comes to the City Bank Auditorium Friday and Saturday.
