Proposed Tanning Law Probably Won’t Phase Taylor Swift [VIDEO]

In California there's a proposed new law, citing cancer risks and other health factors, that would ban use of tanning beds by anyone under the age of 18. In fact, twenty-two other states are considering the same legislation. Tanning industry advocates say this could mean a ten percent hit to an already struggling business.

High profile stars such as Taylor Swift influence many teens on makeup, hair and fashion. And what does Taylor think about tanning? She tells "Allure" magazine, "I don't mind being pale. In high school, it seemed like everybody cared about being tan all year round, but I haven't really thought about it since then. I don't go to a tanning bed, and I get bored when I lay out. I put sunscreen on when I'm in the sun and sometimes I get tan, but I don't really think about it very much." So, bring on the legislation, she could care less. Here's a great Taylor Swift tune.
