Lubbock Police Release Video of Vehicle Involved in Fatal Drive-By Shooting
The Lubbock Police Department has released surveillance footage depicting a vehicle that was involved in a drive-by shooting that resulted in the death of a 4-year-old boy.
Police officers responded to the 700 block of East Ursuline Street on Friday, December 17th, 2021 for reports of shots fired. This was at around 8:50 p.m.
On arrival, officers were informed that 4-year-old Cornelius Carrington was injured in the gunfire and was transported to University Medical Center. Carrington would later be pronounced dead.
Police believe this was the result of a drive-by shooting, and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the vehicle believed to have been involved in the shooting.
Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $8,500. LPD themselves had increased the reward to $6,000 recently, but with the help of law firm Kerby & Wade, P.C., it was increased to $8,500.
