Lubbock Police Searching for Suspect Potentially Tied to Two Separate Shootings
Lubbock Police are currently searching for a suspect that might be tied to 2 separate shootings that happened in August and September of 2021.
A bit before 11:30 p.m. on August 31st, police responded to a shots fired call near 46th Street and Slide Road. It's believed that the occupants of a vehicle were shooting at the occupants in another vehicle while driving on 46th.
Then, just a few hours later at 1:15 a.m. on September 1st, another call for a shooting took place. This time, the shooting happened at a residence in the 1600 block of 28th Street.
KAMC News reports that the potential suspect's vehicle was seen parked in front of this residence for several minutes before the first shots fired call a few hours before. That vehicle could be seen on surveillance footage driving westbound slowly on 28th Street from Avenue N before the 2nd drive-by shooting. It then turned southbound on Avenue P when the shooting occurred.
Domingo Siri was identified as having been killed in the 2nd shooting.
The suspect's identity was not given in news reports, but it was noted that no arrests have been made. Police have requested Facebook information on the suspect, including private messages sent starting August 1st and all IP logs from August 1st to November 2nd.
