Thirsty Thursday: Toby Keith & Willie Nelson

On this "Thirsty Thursday" is a song that seem more of a toast to an accomplishment than anything else. "Beer For My Horses" is a song written by Toby Keith. It's all about the good guys getting the bad guys and celebrating that justice as been served.

Keith says he got the idea for the song when he was a kid and working for a rodeo company. He heard cowboys make some type of toast like, "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses."

Keith said he wrote it and his band mate Scotty Emerick came up with the melody. Then Keith thought about getting Willie Nelson to sing on the song with him. Well, the rest is history.

The song stayed at #1 for six weeks. It also reached #22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
