Billy’s Got Those Beer Goggles On With Neal McCoy On Thirsty Thursday [VIDEO]

His real name is Hubert Neal McGaughey Jr. Country music fans know him better as Neal McCoy. He was born in Jacksonville, Texas. His father, Irish, his mom, Filipino. He first got started in a band that played R&B.

He later moved over to country music and was playing the bars and clubs in Texas. He was discovered by country music star Janie Fricke in the early 80's. That let to McCoy landing a spot as the opening act for country legend Charley Pride.

Throughout the 90's, he had several Number One and Top 5 hit songs. He has always been known for high energy shows and a popular draw in concert.

After being off the charts for a while, he returned to Top 20 with a great drinkin' and sing along song in 2005. The song, "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On"
