A man wanted by police in connection to a murder actually showed up to the Lubbock County Detention Center. The Lubbock Police Department took to social media to ask the public for help in searching for a man that they suspect is connected to a shooting death.

That shooting occurred back on October 8, 2022 in the 2300 block of 143rd Street. Lubbock Police were dispatched early that morning on reports of shots fired where they discovered 17-year-old Dylan Montes with serious injuries from a gunshot wound. Dylan was transported to University Medical Center for his injuries but was did succumb to his wounds from being shot.

Months after the incident the Lubbock Police Department announced on Facebook that they had a possible suspect and were needing help from the public in finding 20-year-old Adrian Garcia. KAMC news reported that hours after the Facebook post Garcia actually went to the Lubbock County Detention Center and turned himself into police at 4:56 a.m..

Garcia was arrested and booked in to the Lubbock County Detention Center on charges of Manslaughter. As per the publishing of this article, Garcia is no longer listed in the Lubbock County Detention Center Jail Roster but was originally being held on a bond of $50,000.
