On today's "thirsty Thursday" is a rock and roll and country music icon. He had hit records in both genres and because of his style of playing the piano and his presence on stage he was known as "the Killer".

Jerry Lee Lewis, though known as a rocker, turned to country in 1968. His single "Another Place, Another Time" became a Top 10 hit and it started a string of Top Ten songs.

This switch to country restarted his career. One of the hits during this time was a great country drinkin' song called "What Made Milwaukee Famous, Made A Fool Out Of Me"

The title was a play off the slogan used by Schlitz Beer at the time which was, "the beer that made Milwaukee Famous".

So sit back pop a top on a cold one and listen to "the Killer"
