Well, they say everything is bigger in Texas. But apparently, patriotism is not one of those things. Wallet Hub put together a list of all the states and where they rank as far as patriotism. They used two key dimensions to rank 50 states, 'military engagement' and 'civic engagement.

Then they used 13 different metrics, with each one graded on a 100-point scale with a score of 100 representing the highest level of patriotism. Military engagement metrics include things like enlistees and veterans while civic engagement metrics include things like voting and volunteering.

Where did Texas rank?

Texas ranked 41st on the list of the most patriot states in America. According to the report, Texas ranked high as far as military engagement, scoring a 9. But as far as civic engagement, we tanked at number 49, almost dead last.

I think that's hogwash. As a Texan, I feel attacked. I mean, yeah sure you can run all the numbers and all of that. But, I feel like we are about as patriotic as any state in America. Do you know how many people I know have American flag tattoos?

I digress.

Here's the shakedown of where all the states landed on this list.
