Because sometimes you just need a good cry.

New country duo Haley & Michaels found themselves writing a love song about love songs with Richie McDonald of Lonestar. McDonald sang one of the best country love songs of all time and it's safe to say 'Amazed' more than inspired 'Just Another Love Song.'

Rising country singer Paul Jolley sang the Lonestar mega-hit 'Amazed' on 'American Idol' on Wednesday night (March 13), earning an overall positive reaction from the judges by following their advice and laying back on his tendency to over-perform.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and a pink spotlight is shining on this cause by multiple arms of the entertainment industry. Country quartet Lonestar are doing their part to raise funds and awareness. The band are helping to corral $50,000 for benefit breast cancer research by doing what they do best -- perform.

They all were from Texas, so hence the name "Lonestar". The lead singer Richie McDonald hails from right here in Lubbock.

It's Monday, the first day of the week and time to look and listen to the first hit song of a country singer or group. This group has a tie to Lubbock.

Look for former frontman for Lonestar, Richie McDonald to return to his roots in Lubbock, Texas in July. Richie is scheduled to do a benefit concert for Cindy Hughlett Ministries July 22 at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center Theatre.
