Sunflowers Days Are Coming To This Shallowater Farm

Have you ever heard of Hamilton Farms? It is such a fun place to check out for date night, family night out, or just a way to get outside.

Depending on the time of year they offer different things. For example, during Christmas, they offer to handpick your own fresh-cut tree, 12 Days of Christmas, letters to Santa, and more.

Their farm actually dates back to the 1970s but they just opened to the public two years ago. I got a chance to meet Kyla and her family when they opened they started all this up. They inherited it from their grandfather and took it from there. Now they are wanting to share the love of their farm with the community.

When I met them it was when they started Sunflower Days and everyone loved it. They have fun things for the kids to do, you could look and cut fresh sunflowers, take pictures, see the animals, and have a lot of fun. They even have food sometimes.

Hamilton Farms hopes they will have the sunflowers blooming by July 1st, 2023 and open soon after. They will be open Friday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Photographers are welcome anytime during these hours. No outside bookings this season. It will cost you $6 per person, 3 and under are free.
