According to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s office, on Thursday, March 10, the stepfather of Holli Jeffcoat was arrested and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center.

Deputies with the LSO obtained an arrest warrant for James Bryant Holland for continued Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. However, that child is not Holli Jeffcoat, but a girl who is related to Jeffcoat, reports Everything Lubbock.

According to the girl's statement, Holland had sexually abused her several times a week for the span of two or three years starting from the time she was around nine years old.

Holland was booked into the Lubbock County Jail on a bond totaling $2 million.

Holland has not been charged with Holli Jeffcoat’s murder or reported sexual abuse. An arrest for that crime has yet to be made.

Holli Jeffcoat was found dead in her home in Idalou on Feb. 10, 2016. She was stabbed multiple times, and a small fire had been set at the scene to conceal evidence, said authorities.

Following Jeffcoat's death, news came out that she was pregnant by a family member who had sexually abused her. Jeffcoat's younger sister was removed from the home and later received a protective order against a family member.
