Safe Motorcycle-Riding Season Kicks Off with Band-Filled Event
For the last couple of years in Lubbock it seemed that every time you turned around there was yet another motorcycle accident--with a fatality! A special event in Lubbock this weekend, hosted by The Fallen Riders Memorial Fund of Texas will focus on safe riding. One study shows states that implement more awareness of motorcycle safety show a decrease in accidents and deaths.
The event is Saturday March 31 from 4 p.m. until midnight at Bash Riprocks in the Depot District. Bands start their performances at 4:30 and continue through the night to raise money for the fund. Cover charge is $6 for non members and $5 for members. Bands lined up to play are The X Project, Two Dayz Forever, One Night Stand, The Rolling 50 and The X Project.
