Santa Land was everything we expected and more. It's great to have my daughter here this Christmas. We are exploring some of the great Lubbock Christmas traditions like Santa Land.

From the grand entrance and the big colorful arches, to the wooden soldiers, reindeer, and Santa and Mrs Claus, this event never missed a beat. The crowd was really enjoying it. The line for Santa Claus was pretty long and the hot chocolate was popular too.

It's fun to share this on video with you, you can feel almost as if you are there again when you watch. The fire pits were warm and wonderful and smelled like Christmas. The lights were bright and colorful and there were some really fun surprises around every corner. Photo opportunities at every turn.

We definitely loved Santa Land at McKenzie Park and look forward to making it an annual tradition.

I wrote a blog about the Santa Land Tree. This is the first year the tree has ornaments and it's a brand new tree.

Santa Land is now closed for the season. It has been held at Mackenzie Park annually, now closing up it's 60th year. It was open from December 10-23, free of charge and open to the public from 6:00-10:00 p.m. nightly
