The Untold Story of How Santa Land’s Christmas Tree Was Destroyed During Lubbock’s 2015 Blizzard
With so much going on during the near-historic Lubbock blizzard of 2015, one story has yet to be told.
The tree which had stood tall and proud at Santa Land each year since 2001 was crushed by the weight of the snow that fell.
A sad loss for Santa Land.
This year in its place stands a brand new tree, almost identical to the old one. It has the same height and dimensions, but this year’s tree will have something brand new: big, beautiful ornaments.
This marks the first time the Santa Land Christmas tree will be dressed with ornaments, promising to make this a very special wonderful and magical sight.
You can view the new Christmas tree beginning December 10th when Santa Land opens in Mackenzie Park.
