About Señor Chubby’s Mexican Bar & Grill

Señor Chubby’s has been a well-loved establishment in Lubbock since it first opened in 2021. With all the classic Mexican grub locals love, special margarita deals, and more, they were a favorite for many.

Just before noon on February 19th, 2024, they made an official announcement that they will be closing their doors. Not only are they closing, but they are doing so within the next 24 to 48 hours depending on how long their current food supply lasts.

What is taking over the old Señor Chubby’s Mexican Bar & Grill location?

The new place that will be taking it over soon is called Benito's Italian Cafe & Pizzeria. Their current location in Lubbock is 608 Salem Ave, Lubbock, TX 79410 at Cactus Alley.

They will have a wide menu of options like fettuccine, ravioli, linguine, pizza, subs, soups, salads, seafood and much more.

They are currently open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. They just started working on their new location today with some paint and other changes. They hope to open the new location in about two weeks.
