The South Plains Airshow is coming up Saturday, June 4 at the Slaton Municipal Airport, home of the Texas Air Museum. Gates open at 9 with the show to start at noon. Vintage aircraft will, as usual, attract a number of curious historians. The public will be entertained by acrobatic acts, a viper air show, parachute jump with the American flag and the Warbird fly-by among other exciting events. There will be concession stands and thrills galore for all ages at the event at the airport on the north side of Slaton. Admission is $10.00 for adults and kids under twelve years old are $5.00. And here's a plus, if you've never ridden in a helicopter, you'll have a chance as Skyview Helicopters will be out there. The event should be a fun day for the whole family and weather promises to be fabulous with 90 degree high and mild winds. Enjoy!
