You might remember last week how several Red Raiders were trying to facilitate the sale of Frank Erwin Center tickets to the Texas Tech game against the Texas Longhorns in Austin.

If you missed that story, here's a brief recap:

"The most anticipated game on the schedule for the Red Raiders' fanbase is obviously February 1st when Beard and his Longhorns come to Lubbock. That game is going to sell out and then some with ticket resellers getting more than $1,000 a ticket on various sites. In that respect, it might be cheaper for a Texas Tech fan to watch the two teams in Austin, and that is exactly what Texas Tech fans are trying to do."

The Red Raiders crashed the site and flooded the ticket sales. The next morning, Texas Athletics Director Chris Del Conte decided to postpone sales of the rest of the tickets in order to make some decisions about the games. Later on, it was speculated that the Longhorns ticket office was only offering the remaining tickets to Longhorns season ticket holders.

This is where Longhorn Karen comes in.

Obviously, the Longhorns don't like being shown up so bad by Texas Tech fans, and that's exactly what was done last week. So they want Del Conte to void all of the tickets that were "improperly" sold via the presale code.

From the tweet below: "Hey, Del Conte, Any way to void these tickets, without refund, since they were improperly bought? You could then donate the tickets to our own students since, you know, they were already paid for… All’s fair in love and war, right?"

Bevo Karen, indeed.

There was nothing improper about buying the tickets, and I don't know who they think is going to buy them instead. Maybe the Longhorns would actually buy them after being embarrassed, but I wouldn't count on it.

They did have their best crowd of the season this weekend, so there's that.

This saga is only going to get juicier in the next month before the trip to Austin.
