Do you want to roast? Well, pull up next to the fire because it's about to get hot in here.

I'm not the biggest basketball fan, but I'm certainly inspired by both the passion of the Texas Tech men's basketball team and fans, and the arrogance out of Austin. The de facto thought out of Austin was, 'oh, well, we'll just steal that coach, too." I don't think that's going to happen.

In case you're not familiar with all of this, the Texas Tech fanbase and team got hyped up by the Chris Beard program. He even took them all the way to a National Championship match for the first time in program history. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Beard met with representatives from the Texas Longhorns in a somewhat shady location (shady for this kind of deal, anyway) and interviewed for the job. No one who experienced Beard's passion at Texas Tech really expected him to go, but he did go.

Beard left behind assistant coach Mark Adams, who now, as head coach, seems to not only have been instrumental in Texas Tech's past success but may have elevated the team to another level beyond that.

The Red Raiders repaid Coach Beard for leaving them by beating his new team twice this season, once in the Hub City and again in Austin. So there you go. Now that we're all caught up, let's have some fun and get toasty with this roasty before the team takes on OU tonight.
