Coming up Saturday, October 1, 10 a.m. 'til 5 p.m. is one of many events going on in Lubbock. It's the 18th annual Llano Estacado Winery's "Grape Day". They are marking 35 years of Texas winemaking during that celebration of the grape harvest and the conclusion of the crush. The crush has been going on since late July. The celebration includes of course wine tasting, art booths, food and live music. Local favorite Bo Garza and friends are entertaining. Offering 20 Llano wines for purchase, admission is $5.00 and includes a commemorative wineglass and one free glass of wine. Llano Estacado boasts Gold/Grand Star Winner status at the 2011 Lone Star International Wine Competition for their 2007 Viviano. Check out their wines and fun coming up a week from Saturday. From Lubbock, head south on Hwy 87 and exit at FM 1585, turn left under the underpass and go east for 3.2 miles. You'll see the winery on your right. Have a "Grape Day"!
