When Brad Paisley first started playing guitar as a child, he probably had no idea of the impact his musicianship would play in his career. And today he pays tribute to all those who influenced his playing in a new book. It's called "Diary of a Player" with Howard Books--an imprint of Simon and Schuster. His co-writer is David Wild, a contributing editor to "Rollikng Stone". The book's release is November 1

Brad's grandfather gave him a guitar as a gift when Brad was eight. By the time he was 13 he was opening for major acting like The Judds, Ricky Skaggs and George Jones. Brad uses the guitar to escape the stress of life and always tries to add a little fun to his songs. One of his  quotes is, "Even on the most serious ballad, I'll throw in a tongue-in-cheek remark." Here's one of my favorite Brad Paisley songs.
