Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: Pancake Festival & Stupid Cupid Comedy Show

Although Valentine’s Day has technically passed, that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy a fun night out with your loved one in Lubbock. There are always a variety of fun events happening in and around Lubbock each weekend, so I want to highlight a couple of big events on February 16th and 17th for you to enjoy.

Without further ado, here are your last-minute plans.

Stupid Cupid Comedy Show

If you are still looking for a fun valentines themed event to take your significant other to, this is a great one. Laugh Hub City is hosting the Stupid Cupid Comedy Show at Jake’s Backroom on Friday, February 16th.

The lineup includes Hailey Neumann, Val Burba, Selena Martinez, Shonuf, and the headliner, our very own, Chrissy Covington. The show is described as “a badass, funny, salty, comedy night for lovers and singles and situationships.”

Doors open at 7:00 and the show starts at 8:00. Tables and single seats are available to purchase.

Lubbock Lions Club 72nd Annual Pancake Festival

This is an annual event that people are always excited for. Not only do you get to stuff your face with all you can eat pancakes, but you are supporting a great cause.

You simply pay to enter and get to enjoy all the pancakes and sausage you want. For a dollar more, you can get a token that can be used to get things like bacon, cotton candy, and other goodies. Plus, all the proceeds go to local charities.

The Lions club states, “We still hold the world record for the most pancakes served in an eight-hour period by nonprofit organization join us to make a difference!”
