Major League Soccer announced today that the 2025 MLS All-Star Game will head to Austin FC's Q2 Stadium next summer.

The Major League Soccer All-Star Game is an annual soccer game held by Major League Soccer featuring selected players from the league against an international club or selected players from another league.

"We are thrilled to bring the 2025 MLS All-Star Game to Austin, a market known for its rich cultural and entertainment scene and world-class events," said Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber. "Austin has quickly become one of the top soccer markets in our country, selling out 60 consecutive Austin FC matches and hosting many marquee soccer events the past three years. We look forward to working alongside the entire Austin FC staff and local leaders to deliver an unforgettable and exciting MLS All-Star Week for everyone.”

From 2005 to 2016, the game featured the all-stars taking on a club team from Europe. In previous editions, a traditional split league format was used based on conferences. In 2021 and 2022, the Liga MX all-stars made appearances in the game before Arsenal came back. The first all-star game was held in 1996.

It’s the second time the game will come to Texas after the Dynamo hosted in 2010 when Manchester United thumped the MLS all-stars 5-2 at Reliant Stadium.

The date and opponent for the 29th-ever MLS All-Star Game will be announced at a later time.

2025 MLS All-Star Week

In addition to the match, MLS and the city of Austin will host a week-long celebration of soccer and culture for fans of all ages at venues throughout Austin. These world-class events, including MLS All-Star Skills Challenge presented by AT&T, MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate, MLS All-Star Soccer Celebration, and the MLS All-Star Concert, will feature community programming and entertainment for fans.

Fans can watch in over 100 countries and regions around the world on MLS Season Pass through the Apple TV app.

This year’s all-star game will be at Lower.com Field in Columbus with the MLS all-stars taking on the Liga MX all-stars. In last year’s game, Arsenal from the English Premier League clobbered the MLS all-stars 5-0 in Washington, D.C.
