Working the night shift can be rough. Everyone is asleep while you're wide awake taking care of patients, cleaning office buildings, taking phone calls, or any number of other things. You deserve to have a cold one or a cocktail when your shift ends, too. It doesn't matter if it's 7 a.m.; you worked for it.

I worked the night shift for several years. My friends and I would always go to the same couple of places to grab a Bloody Mary and breakfast before going home and going to bed.

Here are 10 great places in Lubbock to end your work shift with a little something to take the edge off.

I hope this list helped all of my night shift homies out there. You guys keep our world moving along while everyone else sleeps, and I hope you know just how important you are. You put up with crazy hours and weird schedules for the greater good. You deserve a raise, for sure. Working nights is really rough on your body and your relationships. Thank you for what you do.
