Here’s Why Lubbock Animal Services Is Sending 18 Dogs to New Hampshire

Why is Lubbock Animal Services sending 18 dogs all the way to New Hampshire, for the first time ever, according to their press release?

Something has needed to be done to help with the LAS overcrowding. We have reported the overwhelming number of dogs that need adoption at Lubbock Animal Services (and you can help by adopting an Awesome Adoptable Dog of the Week!).

So, why are these 18 dogs being sent all the way to New Hampshire? The answer is, they are needed there.

Unlike our situation here, in the Northeastern states like New Hampshire, there is currently a shortage of dogs, according to Kaylee Smith, the assistant director of Lubbock Animal Services,

The LAS dog transport began last night at 8:30 pm and will help to ease their overcrowding. We wish them well on their journey!
