Brenda Garcia with United Supermarkets joined us today to talk about how to handle the holidays when you have diabetes. November is Diabetes Awareness Month and it's also when you have Thanksgiving and all the delicious food that goes along with it. Of course after Thanksgiving, the food doesn't stop and actually we seem to eat more after Thanksgiving leading up to Christmas.

Garcia said that for some who have diabetes, the holidays can be hard. You don't always know what is okay to eat. That's why Garcia suggested those with Diabetes go to HappyandNourished.com to get more information, including receipies, on foods that diabetics can have.

During Diabetes Awareness Month, those who have diabetes can sign up for a tour at Markets Street.
