First Hit Monday Features John Michael Montgomery [VIDEO]

John Michael Montgomery grew up in a musical family and his father encouraged him to play the guitar. His brother is Eddie Montgomery of the hot country duo, "Montgomery Gentry". In the early 90's,John Michael was one of the hottest country artist around.

After playing the honk-tonk and club scene, he finally got a record deal with Atlantic Records.

In 1993 he exploded on the country charts with his debut album, "Life's A Dance". It was pretty special, because it was the only million seller by a new artist that year.

The title tune from the album went straight to the Top Five, peaking at #4. It also produced the Number One song "I Love The Way You Love Me".
