Some wonderful summer camps the kids will love are underway soon at Lubbock's Science Spectrum, according to their official website.

Find a wide variety of activities for all ages available as a virtual adventure in June. In-person camps will also be underway beginning in July.

The Science Spectrum's new virtual workshop is perfect for ages seven through 12. These workshops can include a kit of materials and will be hosted through Zoom.

Kids can explore physics and an adventure that includes everything from chickens to dinosaurs. There's even an opportunity to "become junior-paleontologists by finding bones and fossils as we travel back in time," according to their website.

Maybe your children want to explore space? A virtual opportunity to explore the sun's renewable energy also becomes a scientific adventure during this virtual summer camp. Additionally, some bigger topics like bioengineering and agricultural engineering both offer a camp to explore these exciting topics.

Beginning July 7th, live and in-person camp events will be underway. These are all split up into age-groups and hone in on age-appropriate camp adventures.

Ages 4-5 can investigate concepts like 'Shark Adventures', 'Junior Astronauts', 'Junior Fab Lab', and 'Storybook Science.'

For Ages 6-8, it's: 'Space Explorers', 'Human Biology', 'Ocean Adventures', 'Weird Science' and 'Maker Space.'

Ages 9-12 can explore some exciting advanced subjects including 'Laser Coding 101', 'Coding101,' and 'Marine Biology.'

These are three-day camps, with dates that stretch from July into August. So there are plenty of opportunities through the summer to get in on a camp adventure that would be fun and exciting for your children.

It's exciting to see the Science Spectrum offering such a wide variety of summer fun for the kids this summer.
