A lot of restaurants closed in 2020, one of those was a beloved Lubbock sports bar.

So people got excited when a previously "dead" Lubbock restaurant is now coming back, this time in a new location. Champs Sports Bar, previously located at 4525 Milwaukee Avenue (now El Mitote) is now open for the public to enjoy.

The menu will be like their location in Midland. It will have your typical sports bar food like nachos, wings, pizza, and burgers. They also have steaks, tacos, fajitas, pasta, salads and so much more. I am also seeing some enticing signature items like a Patty "Mahomes" Melt and a Honey Butter Fried Chicken Sandwich.

They also have a full-service bar. They have specialty cocktails, Chiltons, Mules, Margaritas and more. They have happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. This includes $1 off wells and drafts.

Here are some pictures of what the new spot looks like. I love all the decorations, TVs and the space, it is very big. I think this will be a great addition to Lubbock and I can't wait to go try it out.

This location is now reopened at 5028 50th St.- the old location of East Moon.
