Are Apples Better Than Coffee at Waking You Up?

Is an apple better at waking you up in the morning than that hot cup of coffee we all seem to treasure? Brenda Duby with United Supermarkets stopped by today to discuss the benefits of fall produce including apples and pears.

According to Duby, apples are really good at waking us up and can be better than caffeine. The reason? Apples are full of good carbs and vitamins. She also suggested pairing an apple with peanut butter for the ultimate grab and go breakfast.

Duby also recommended picking Comice Pears this fall. If you don't know for sure whether you like Comice Pears or even a different variety of apple, just ask to try one and the folks at United Supermarkets will help you out.
