Amy Lee and Christmas Music [Videos]
Ok - in reality I don't care too much for Christmas music. Wait, WAIT - now that does NOT mean I am "anti-Christmas"! In truth, Christmas is my favorite holiday! But I can be a bit of a "Grinch" when it comes to Christmas music in general. However, that doesn't mean I don't have some favorite Christmas songs that I enjoy listening to. Here's my top 5.

Chris Young - Oh Holy Night
It's not just the song itself that is beautiful and one of my favorite Christmas songs - but listening to Chris Young sing this song with such passion with his beautiful deep rich voice gives me chills every time! Bravo Chris - Bravo.

CeeLo Green - Mary Did You Know
There are many great artists that sing the Christmas song Mary Did You Know, and sing it well - and while I do love this song, I've posted this particular rendition of this song solely because of this video. CeeLo Green is a R&B Artist and is featured as one of the judges on NBC's The Voice. In this video, Green sings Mary Did You Know as scenes from the miniseries The Bible are featured. The song itself was already fantastic - but this video takes it to the next level!

Burl Ives - Holly Jolly Christmas
It just wouldn't be Christmas without hearing, and singing along to, this classic Christmas song. My childhood memories of watching the 1964 TV Special Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer with my family come flooding back when I hear this song - which most certainly makes this a Christmas song favorite.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Cannon Rock
Christmas Canon Rock by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, sung by Chloe Lowery, is absolutely one of my most favorite Christmas songs. Maybe it's because it's to the tune of Pachelbel's Canon and my sister and I would play that song together when we were younger - I on the piano and my sister on the cello. Or maybe it's because I had Pachelbel's Canon played at my wedding. All I know is that by putting that tune together with my favorite holiday and then throwing in a couple of guitar riffs lands this Christmas song at the top of my list!! Not to mention I just watched Chloe Lowery (who is absolutely amazing) perform this live a few weeks back when Trans-Siberian Orchestra came through Lubbock.

Faith Hill - Where Are you Christmas
Not only is Faith Hill one of my favorite country singers - but this Christmas song tells a story I am guilty of in my own life. My memories of Christmas with my family growing up are fantastic memories and now that I am no longer a child - I do not get to experience Christmas with a child's innocence. Day to day life as an adult tries to take that Christmas spirit away and replace it with stress. For me, this song is the much needed reminder that even as my world has changed from an innocent child to a stressed out adult - Christmas is and will always be the same.
