A 15-year-old has been pronounced dead a few days after a dirt bike crash in Lubbock.

KAMC News reports that the crash happened on Sunday, September 25th, 2022 on 130th Street near Avenue P. It's said that a truck was towing a trailer westbound, while Ryder McDonald was riding a Yamaha motorcycle southbound.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says that the two vehicles collided in the intersection after McDonald disregarded the stop sign. He was transported to University Medical Center with serious injuries. McDonald was pronounced dead a few days later on September 27th. The driver and passenger in the truck were not injured.

A GoFundMe page set up for McDonald has raised over $15,000 in donations so far. The funds raised are going directly to Lacy Ferrell, who is McDonald's mother.

A benefit for McDonald's family is also being held on Saturday, October 22nd at Boozefighters M.C. Club House, located at 510 46th Street. The benefit will feature food, live music and more. Admission is $10 per person, $15 per couple, and children get in free. Brisket plates will be served at $10 per plate.
