Wrap Up July With Live Music At The Buddy Holly Center
Summer is flying by and so are your chances at catching great live music at the Buddy Holly Center. The Summer Showcase Series continues next week and all the way until August 19th.
Coming up on Thursday, July 29 at the Buddy Holly Show will be The Joe Trevino Band. Trevino is a native-born Texan who list Buddy Holly has an inspiration behind his music as well as Elvis Pressley, Mac Davis, and Roy Orbison.
Trevino began performing at a young age and has sung at the Nashville Palace three times. Trevino has also performed in San Antonio at Market Square, performing on big and small stages. Trevino has also played in Lubbock and is making a name for himself in West Texas according to a press release from the City of Lubbock.
Joe Trevino is making a name in the West Texas area. The songs in the music player, "She Keeps My Dreams Alive" and "Give Me a Chance" were recorded at the Augie Myers Studios in Bulverde, with “The Texas Tornados." In Joe's words, "It was such an awesome privilege to have met and worked with such a professional group.”
The 2021 Summer Showcase Series is held at The Buddy Holly Center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and there is a cash bar available. During the concert, visitors will be able to view the galleries at the Buddy Holly Center as well. Those attending will not be able to bring outside food or beverages or chairs. We recommend that you get there early.
