Where Kids Can Get Free Meals This Summer Around The South Plains
Now that summer is here people may be looking for a place to get their kids meals.
School districts around the Hub City are stepping up to make sure they are fed.
Here is a list of all the school districts across the South Plains that are offering free summer lunch programs and how to use it.
- Lubbock ISD – From June 3rd through August 1st, the school district will serve meals at multiple campuses throughout LISD. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. To find a list of participating schools, click here.
- Frenship ISD – The school district will serve lunches from June 3rd to July 26th, and will be closed the week of July 1st through 4th for the holidays. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Frenship ISD Soccer Complex and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Duran Park.
- Denver City ISD – From June 3rd through June 28th, students can receive breakfast from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mustang Cafeteria.
- Olton ISD – The district will offer meals from May 28th through 31st and June 3rd through 27th, Monday through Thursday. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. while lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Olton Cafeteria.
- Abernathy ISD – Lunch will be provided at 505 7th Street in Abernathy from June 3rd through 27th Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- New Deal ISD – The district will provide lunch from June 1st through June 30th on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at New Deal High School.
- Meadow ISD – From May 28th through June 27th, the district will provide breakfast and lunch at 606 4th Street in Meadow Monday through Thursday. Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be provided from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
