Watch the F-16 Flyover From the Texas Tech-Arizona State Game
There was a delay because of the lightning before the game, but that didn't deter the planned flyover at The Jones before the Texas Tech-Arizona State game. The F-16s were in town yesterday doing practice flyovers yesterday afternoon.
One of the pilots has a special connection to Texas Tech. Colonel Larry Warmoth, who serves as the 149th Med Group Commander, said being a Raider goes back generations.
"I went to medical school here, my daughter went to medical school here, my son is in medical school here. Our youngest son is working on his Masters," Col. Warmoth said. "Tech is in our blood, we're all Red Raiders."
The flyover has certainly brought the air raid offense back to Lubbock, as the team led Arizona State 21-3 at the end of the first quarter.
