Zac Brown Band Turn Houston Show Into Harvey Relief Fundraiser
Zac Brown Band have announced that $1 from every ticket sold to their Houston show on Saturday, Sept. 16, will be donated to the Justin J. Watt Foundation to go toward Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The band is also offering free lawn tickets to first responders at the show for as long as they are available. Concert attendees are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food and household items to the show to donate to the Montgomery County Food Bank.
The following items are in high demand in the wake of the devastation of Hurricane Harvey: food including fruit cups, peanut butter, canned meat and protein, canned fruits and vegetables, canned soup, dry cereal, easy open snacks, baby formula, bottled water, powdered milk; personal care items including bleach and diapers; cleaning supplies including laundry detergent, rubber gloves and face dust/particle masks. Donations can be made outside the north and south gates of the pavilion prior to the show.
First responders who have worked in hurricane recovery efforts will be required to show a badge or official ID to redeem the free tickets, which the band is offering in pairs. Tickets are available online for the show that is taking place at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston on Saturday.
The ZBB are currently on their Welcome Home tour with more than 40 stops across North America.
