Texas Tech finished Friday’s and Saturday’s championship meet in 1st place with 152 points, with 2nd going to OSU with 92 points. The Texas Tech women’s team finished in 2nd with 104 points, with UT having 135 points.

Texas Tech’s 4×400 team of Caleb Dean, Carl Hicks, Josh Bour and Shaemar Uter set a new school record with a time of 3:02.76., with Dean named the meet’s High Point Scorer with 17.5 points

Texas Tech dominated the men’s and women’s 60-meter dashes with Rosemary Chukwuma and Don’dre Swint crossing the line at 7.23 and 6.55 seconds, respectively. On the women’s side, Chukwuma was joined by teammates Alyssa Colbert and Success Umukoro as the top three finishers while the Red Raiders had four other runners that finished in spots 2-6.

Don’Dre Swint (6.55) and Rosemary Chukwuma (7.23) won the 60-meter race, Temitope Adeshina won the high jump (1.90m) and Terrence Jones won the 200m (20.21).

The outdoor season of Texas Tech Track & Field is set to begin on March 2 at the Baylor Invite in Waco, Texas.

Big 12 squads will now prepare for the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships held March 8-9 at The Track at New Balance in Boston.
