The Wolfforth Farmers Market Expands With New Mini-Markets in South Lubbock
The Wolfforth Farmers Market is the biggest farmers market and one of the best things to do in the area on Saturday. It's been running and supporting small businesses for so long now. Well, we heard some exciting news this week: they're adding another day to give us more farmers market fun.
They started a brand new mini-market in South Lubbock that will be held every Wednesday for people to come out and enjoy more products.
On February 9th, they had their first one and it went great. It's located at the Cardinal's Sports Center parking lot right off Slide and Loop 289 from 1 to 4 p.m. for everyone to come out and enjoy.
They said these are all the vendors from their Saturday market, but will be only farmers' market products, such as grown produce, pasture-raised meats, canned goods, and more. This market will not have any non-food items. The best part? The new move won't affect the market in Wolfforth on Saturdays.
This is such an awesome idea they're doing and I can't wait to check it out. One of my favorite things is going out to the farmers markets to see what all these small businesses have to offer and it's a lot of fun. But sometimes you can't get out on Saturday's so now this is a great alternate option for people.
You can keep up with everything happening on their official Facebook page because they're very good at keeping everyone informed. If you want to check out the bigger Wolfforth Farmers Market on Saturday, those go from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 8924 County Road 7100 Wolfforth, Texas. I'd recommend getting there early because some things and places do sell out of their goods.
