Why shouldn't game day be a holiday?

Everything Lubbock is reporting that Texas Tech University has canceled all Monday (April 8th) evening classes after 5 p.m., and all classes on Tuesday, April 9th.

This should be quite a treat for students and staff and allow them a bit more time to enjoy the Red Raider matchup versus Virginia for the NCAA Championship.

This is awesome that the university can look beyond the mundane and really recognize this historic appearance for the Red Raiders. We hope everybody has a great and safe game night.

Tip-off for the big game is expected at around 8 p.m. Monday night, and the school is hosting a special watch party inside the United Supermarkets Arena.
