Texas Tech Lands 5 Players On All-Big 12 Teams
Just because the Red Raiders went 5-7 and are now on a coaching search doesn't mean the team didn't have a lot of talent this season.
The Big 12 coaches recognized that fact by putting five Texas Tech players on the All-Big 12 teams.
The first team included kicker Clayton Hatfield, LB Dakota Allen, and DB Adrian Frye.
The second team included WR Antoine Wesley and OL Jack Anderson. Wesley and Anderson being on the second team feel like a snub to me. Wesley was arguably the best receiver in the entire country, and Anderson has been the stabilizing big man for the offensive line during his tenure for the Red Raiders.
Anderson also didn't seem too pleased with the snub, either.
Either way, it is still a fantastic accomplishment for Anderson and those other players.
Additionally, 13 other Red Raiders were named honorable mention selections:
Alan Bowman (Offensive Freshman of the Year), De’Quan Bowman (KR/PR), Jordyn Brooks (LB), Travis Bruffy (OL), Seth Collins (Offensive Newcomer of the Year), Vaughnte Dorsey (DB), DaMarcus Fields (DB), Eli Howard (DL), Jah’Shawn Johnson (DB), Dominic Panazzolo (P), Terence Steele (OL), Joseph Wallace (DL) and Broderick Washington Jr. (DL).
