One one of the final days of MLB Winter Meetings, the Texas Rangers have struck a deal with the St. Louis Cardinals for third baseman Patrick Wisdom. In exchange for Wisdom, the Rangers are giving up utility player Drew Robinson.

The 27-year-old Wisdom made his major league debut last season, hitting .260 with four home runs and 10 RBIs in 32 games. He spent most of the season at Triple-A Memphis, hitting .288 with 15 homers and 61 RBI.

Robinson hasn't had much success at the Major League level, where he's posted a 40 percent strikeout rate and slashed .204/.301/.366 over 246 plate appearances. But he slugged .569 in 53 games at the Triple-A level last season and has historically hit right-handed pitchers well.
