Lubbock residents are getting ready to pick their new electric providers later this year but LP&L has one last gift for their customers before bowing out.
At around 6 p.m. on Monday, February 15th, Southwest Power Pool, the transmission grid supplying Lubbock Power & Light's electric grid, returned to Energy Emergency Level 2.
Higher than normal temps are taking their toll across the state, and the Public Utility Commission of Texas is asking residents to cut back on their power usage.
