Suspect in Odessa Murder Arrested in Lubbock

A suspect believed to be connected to a murder that happened in Southeast Odessa back in January has been arrested in Lubbock.

Odessa Police responded to 3701 East Highway 80 in reference to 2 gunshot victims at around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 25th. Police say that after an altercation, an unknown male shot 2 18-year-old men and fled the scene.

The 2 victims were transported to a local hospital, and one was pronounced dead. The other remains in critical condition.

Lubbock Police arrested 17-year-old Johnathen Sanchez on Saturday, February 1st at an apartment in the 1600 block of Iola Avenue.
