Study Shows Europeans Fight Over Dirty Dishes while Americans Argue about Facebook
I'd always heard it was money that caused most disagreements between couples, but a recent study in Germany shows it to be something more basic--dirty dishes. This site claims 29% of over a thousand people surveyed claim messiness is the main cause of strife. And, you might think it's the woman complaining, but you'd be wrong because there was basically no difference in the sexes. In addition, 22% said chores like taking out the trash or ironing was the second biggest problem area in a relationship.
But in America, another study shows it's time spent on Facebook that's causing the problems. And there are of course other causes for riffs such as: irritating in-laws, sibling squabbles and oddly enough lack of sex was last on the list. Wonder what Freud would have thought about that?
