With each generation comes a slew of new words. In decades past new words emerged like "groovy," "neat," and "cool," (with a whole new meaning). For example, "Awesome," has become common. And now, the new Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary has added some new words for this generation. "Tweet" has earned a spot, used both as a noun and a verb, which  according to the Associated Press, is among 100 additional words. Others you might recognize or even use yourself, "boomerang child," "Americana," and "fist bump". The dictionary's president says that his personal favorite is fist bump. It's often seen at sporting events, TV game shows, etc., and cemented in popular culture when the President Obama and the First Lady did it at the 2008 Democratic nominating convention.
