Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect Until 3am for Lubbock and South Plains
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Lubbock and the South Plains until 3am (Sun. June 2). Thunderstorms from both Eastern New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle will be moving into the region over the next 6-7 hours.
The main hazards with these potential severe thunderstorms are winds over 60 mph and hail around 1" inch in size.
