With scorching hot temps outside it's time to really think about staying hydrated. It definitely seems like it can be tough to really drink down as many beverages, especially water, as we should!

We've all heard that we need to drink 8 - 10 glasses a day. Is this actually possible? Yes. How many of us pull this off? According to some research I found...about 43% of us don't and some of us require even more than 10 glasses.

First I have to confess, I don't usually seem to drink enough water... coffee, sure but water?! So over the weekend I stumbled on an idea that has helped me actually down some serious ounces of water.

I grabbed a short tumbler glass and found that I could gulp it down in a few good swallows. So I started making it a habit, every time I thought about getting a drink of water, instead of a couple sips from a big bottle or cup, I challenged myself to down the small glass completely. It worked! I put away some serious ounces of water and I feel a little floaty today, haha!

If you tend to sip and not get anywhere near emptying your tall glass of water, try this idea!

It could be the start a habit now that can last us through a longer and healthier lifetime!
