The Lubbock Police Department’s Metro Special Crimes Unit is investigating a body that was found at the site of a fire Thursday morning, April 22nd, 2021.

According to news reports, the fire was first spotted by a motorist in the area of FM 1585 and Avenue L. A trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety was alerted to the fire and called for backup.
