OH MY: Sea Lion Show Coming To Lubbock’s Adventure Park

Lubbock is trying to raise money for its first aquarium, and one way they do that is with a big fundraiser every year called PetFest.

This year will be the sixth annual PetFest and there's a lot of fun to be had at the event. The weekend-long fun includes a pet pageant, microchipping, adoptions and crafts. The feature attraction this year is the Sea Lion Show.

All the proceeds raised from this event go to and benefit the Lubbock Aquarium. The goal of the aquarium is to educate and engage the community about marine life. It will also be a 501C3 non-profit and a great place for all ages to enjoy. Their mission is to "bring the ocean to the South Plains through engagement, exploration, education and environmental awareness."

The event is happening at Adventure Park on April 26th from 6:30 to April 28th at 4 pm. It kicks off on Friday for the VIP Show at 6:30 p.m. You must have a reservation to attend. You will get up close for Sea Lion Show, Ocean Craft-Kids, and Chicken Strip dinner with fries and a drink from Expedition Cafe.

Saturday and Sunday will be open to everyone and you can get tickets in advance or at the door. These days will feature food trucks, pet chipping, pet adoptions, vendors, and more! It happens from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
